1:72 Su-34 Fullback Canopy, Wheels And Lights Paint Masks (For Trumpeter) is a sheet of stencils for the glazing of the cockpit, the landing gear wheels and the lights of the Russian bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet belongs to the category of small stencils that take care of the details on which a well built model most often comes to grief. Besides the frames of the cockpit it contains discs for the landing gear wheels and, in addition, rings for the lights, which is often missing from competing sets. All the shapes are cut beforehand, so nothing is measured out and nothing is cut directly on a part.
The Su-34 is a frontline bomber derived from the Su-27 family, on which the designers seated a crew of two side by side in a widened forward part of the fuselage. That gave the machine its characteristic flat profile and a nickname after a duck's bill, and the way into the cockpit leads through the nose landing gear bay. The type carries canards ahead of the wing and from the middle of the first decade of this century has formed the backbone of Russian tactical bomber aviation.
Spray the glazing before you glue the part into the fuselage. Settle the stencil on the frame dry, check the position against the light and only then press it down with a blunt tip. Apply the interior color first, and once it has dried the exterior shade comes next. The rings for the lights only need to be laid on the clear part and the surrounding area sprayed over. Leave the wheels for last, as the ring between them will take even a thicker matte paint.
