About product

Special Mask 1:72 Super Mystère SMB-2 (painting masks)

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks in 1:72 scale. They serve for quick and clean spraying of the frames of the glazed cockpit and for masking the wheels while painting. It is not a model or decals but an aid for painting. Intended for plastic models of the Super Mystère SMB-2 in this scale.

The real subject

The Dassault Super Mystère B2 was a French supersonic jet fighter of the second half of the 1950s, one of the first Western European production machines able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. Besides the French Air Force, the Israeli Air Force operated it for many years.

Use

  • Take a mask off the sheet, set it on the canopy glazing and press it carefully against the frames.
  • Mask the wheels with the relevant parts and apply the paint in thin coats.
  • Once the paint has flashed off, remove the masks carefully.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Super Mystère SMB-2 in 1:72 scale
  • Modelers who want crisp transitions on the glazing
  • Anyone interested in quick and clean masking
