The cabin equipment of the Spitfire Mk.Vb at the small scale of 1:72 rendered as colored three-dimensional decals, tuned to the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mk.Vb version was a stopgap and at the same time an exceptionally successful step: the stronger Merlin 45 fitted into the airframe of the previous version, along with the so-called universal wing with two twenty-millimeter cannons and four machine guns. From the spring of 1941 the British squadrons flew offensive sorties over northern France with it, and it was precisely on these machines that the Czechoslovak airmen of three fighter squadrons went through combat. When the Focke-Wulf 190 appeared over the Channel, it turned out that the Mk.Vb was running into its limits, and yet it stayed in service from Malta to North Africa.
The three-dimensional decals bring the instrument panel, the side panels with levers and controls and harness belts of steel. Everything is finished in color and has relief, so at a small scale you can do without a magnifier and a fine brush. The carrier dissolves after application and only a thin layer stays.
In 1:72 scale one works with very small elements, so prepare sharp tweezers and good light. Spray the cabin beforehand, transfer the element with a damp brush and settle it without sliding it sideways. Draw the excess water off and let the surface dry thoroughly.
Suitable for a modeler of small scales who does not want the cabin to stay an empty plastic trough. It is especially worth it on machines built with the canopy slid back or with the door hinged open, where the interior is visible from the side. The Spitfire kit has to be obtained separately.
