A plastic kit of a modern heavy infantry fighting vehicle on the universal Armata tracked platform. The small 1:72 scale means a quicker build and undemanding space in a display case, so the model suits collections of modern vehicles and goes with models of the other vehicles of the same family. Zvezda is a Russian manufacturer with a wide range in precisely this scale.
The T-15 comes out of the same tracked platform as the T-14 tank. Compared with ordinary carriers it has the engine moved to the front of the hull, so the dismount compartment is at the rear and the squad gets out through the rear, protected by the mass of the vehicle. On the hull there is a remotely controlled weapon module with no crew inside the turret, complemented by launching containers for guided missiles. The vehicle was presented publicly in the middle of the second decade of this century and is a typical representative of the concept of a heavy infantry fighting vehicle whose level of protection comes close to a tank.
In a small scale cleanliness of work is the key: use a thin cement applied with a fine brush, so that it does not run over the engraved lines. Sand the parting lines on the large areas of the hull with fine paper and polish the area over, as otherwise they will stand out under varnish. Glue the running gear on a flat surface and before fitting the tracks check that the wheels are in one line. Verify the type of the tracks in the instructions, as the procedure and the order of painting differ according to the design. A primer from a spray can works better in this scale than a thick brushed one; spray camouflage patterns with an airbrush at low pressure or stipple them carefully with a brush. Keep the soiling restrained, as an overdone wash fills a model optically in a small scale.
