This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the Soviet T-60 light tank in the version from the production of Factory No. 264 with spoked wheels (model 1942). The model was released by the Ukrainian brand ACE. Besides the plastic parts, the set holds one-piece rubber tracks, photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with several marking options, among them a vehicle captured by the German army; the exact package contents are not stated here.
The T-60 was a Soviet light reconnaissance tank produced from 1941 to the beginning of 1943, intended as a replacement for the obsolete amphibious reconnaissance tanks. The crew numbered two men, and the main armament was a 20 mm ShVAK automatic cannon backed up by a coaxial machine gun. The vehicles were produced in large numbers and fielded on the Eastern Front.
Finish the running gear and fit the rubber tracks before you close the hull, and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend a primer coat, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments for the mud and dust effects typical of the Eastern Front. The captured variant allows unconventional German markings.
