A colored, 3D-printed interior set by Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale. The detail is printed on thin decal paper, so it is applied as a wet decal, with no photo-etch, no gluing of tiny parts and no need to paint anything. The set is intended for plastic models of the TBM-3 Avenger torpedo bomber. The target kit is Hobby Boss.
The Grumman Avenger, built under license by General Motors as the TBM, was a three-seat carrier torpedo bomber of the US Navy during the Second World War. It was used above all in the Pacific, where it proved itself in attacks on ships and on land targets alike. The crew compartment, with its richly divided instrument panel and side consoles, is a rewarding place for detailed work thanks to its size.
The individual segments (the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat, the levers) are cut out, soaked and transferred onto the plastic parts. Because of the greater thickness of the 3D layer, use glue to fix them, and do not use a decal softener or a setting solution at all, as either would attack the printed resin and ruin the part. A smooth, clean surface underneath is advisable.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The Hobby Boss base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
