A civilian figure item from the range of Dynamo-Models for 1:72 scale. According to the name this is a scene of a father and son, that is a subject added to a diorama for the sake of story and the human dimension of a scene. It is neither a kit nor a finished composition with a base, but a figure accessory to a scene of your own.
A military diorama gains in credibility the moment ordinary life enters it. A pair of an adult and a child also works as a guide to scale: from it a viewer judges the proportions of the whole scene at once, and the vehicles beside them look more massive. The brand's range keeps to the European setting of the 1940s, so this item goes well with the other civilian subjects of the same series.
Place the figures so that the link between them is readable - the turn of the heads and the direction of the gaze will do more than any accessory. In 1:72 scale a figure reads by its silhouette, so do not put it into the shadow behind a building or a vehicle. Painting can be managed in three layers: a base tone, darker shading in the folds and a lighter touch on the edges. For civilian fabrics choose muted shades; saturated colors look artificial in this scale.
