1:72 Tupolev TU-95MS Bear H CAMOUFLAGE kabuki masks

Tupolev Tu-95MS Bear H - Camouflage kabuki masks 1:72 (New Ware)

This is NOT a model but a set of self-adhesive masking masks from New Ware for a plastic kit of the Soviet strategic bomber Tupolev Tu-95MS Bear H in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from Japanese washi (kabuki) masking paper. The Camouflage version does not serve to mask the glazing but to spray the color scheme: it helps to create sharply bounded white, metallic and gray areas and the colored blades of the propellers.

The real subject

The Tu-95 was a Soviet strategic bomber and missile carrier with swept wings and four turboprop engines with contra-rotating propellers. The characteristic combination of white protective areas, a metallic surface and gray panels makes its coloring a demanding task, which this set makes easier.

Use

• Spraying sharply bounded white and metallic areas
• Creating the gray panels of the color scheme
• Masking the colored blades of the propellers
• Sharp transitions with no bleeding; the paper yields to the shape

Who it is for

For modelers building the Tu-95MS in 1:72 scale who want to reproduce the intricately divided color scheme of this bomber accurately without laying out the boundaries by hand. Suitable above all for advanced builders working with an airbrush.

A supplementary set of masks, not a model on its own. The kit and the paints are not included in the package.
