An injection-molded plastic kit of two Japanese tanks of the Second World War in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand IBG models. In one box you can build the Japanese Type 89 Kou medium tank in its late form and the Type 95 Ha-Go light tank. Besides the plastic parts, the set contains photo-etched parts and a decal sheet; the suspension and the running gear of both machines are well broken down.
The Type 89 Kou was a Japanese medium tank of the 1930s armed with a 57 mm gun; it combined a riveted structure and was deployed in China and in the Pacific, where its limited mobility soon made it obsolete. The Type 95 Ha-Go was a more modern and faster light tank with a 37 mm gun and became the most widespread Japanese tank of the war; its thin armor, however, left it vulnerable to anti-tank weapons.
This is a smaller scale, so the parts are tiny — glue them with thin modeling cement and a light touch, and use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for the photo-etched parts. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush in thin coats. The characteristic Japanese camouflage patterns reward careful masking of the transitions; the running gear and the lower hull come to life with a wash in the recesses and fine dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
