The Type 95 Ha-Go is a Japanese light tank of the period of the Second World War. It belonged among the most widespread Japanese armored vehicles of its day and matched what was expected of a light tank: it was small, light and mobile, so that it could get where a heavier machine could not. It is precisely its dimensions that make it a rewarding model, because beside larger armored vehicles it is clear at first sight how small a machine it was.
It is a kit in 1:72 scale, that is, a set of parts to be glued together and painted. The exact contents of the package, the number of parts, the form of the tracks and the choice of markings are given by the instructions of the manufacturer.
In 1:72 scale most of the parts are small, so work with tweezers over a mat with a raised edge. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down; on small parts it is better to take off a little at a time, as a lost shape will not come back. Fit the running gear together dry and check whether the wheels lie in one plane, or the finished model will stand crookedly. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. A small model takes finer wear than a large one: shading the seams, bringing out the edges and dust on the running gear are usually enough for the machine to stop looking like a toy.
Paints, glue, thinner and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
