1:72 UK Air Arm Update - Harrier Retirement is a supplementary Xtradecal decal sheet from the update line devoted to the Royal Air Force, themed on the end of Harrier service.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale from the update line with which Xtradecal supplements its older sheets with newer markings. The subject is set by the end of British Harrier operations. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model. What exactly the sheet contains is given by the manufacturer on the packaging, so look at it before buying.
The British Harriers were withdrawn from service in 2010. With the close of their service, commemorative and farewell markings appeared on the machines which differ from ordinary service markings and which are mostly in neither the original decal sheets nor the kits. Update sheets of this kind therefore serve to let a modeler build a machine in its form from the last period of operation without having to buy a whole new sheet for the type.
With supplementary sheets one often works on a model that is already finished or was built long ago and whose varnish has had time to go matte. It is exactly there that silvering arises, that is a light haze under the decal caused by air closed in between the film and an uneven surface. Before you add new markings, clear-coat the place with a thin layer of gloss varnish and let it cure. Once the decal is on, press it down properly and blot the water away; any haze can still be saved by an application of softener, but only while the decal is fresh.
This is a decal sheet, that is an accessory. The kit, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
