An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Universal Carrier tracked carrier in the II Mk.II version in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker IBG. The package contains plastic parts for one model and a decal sheet; the kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Universal Carrier, known in Britain as the Bren Carrier, was a light, open tracked armored personnel carrier. It belongs among the most mass-produced tracked vehicles in history, and British and Allied units committed it during the Second World War to carry men, tow weapons, scout and act as a machine gun carrier. The Mk.II version brought a revised arrangement of the equipment and a towing hitch.
With an open hull it pays to assemble and paint the interior and the running gear before you close the upper areas up. Cut the small parts off carefully and glue them with thin cement for plastic. A faithful look is helped by a primer, spraying with an airbrush, knocking the sheen back and a patina of washes and pigments that suggest mud and dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
