Replacement wheels for a model of the American M1126 Stryker ICV wheeled carrier in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M1126 Stryker ICV is an American armored personnel carrier on an eight-wheeled chassis, meant for carrying infantry. The wheels make up a striking part of its silhouette: they are large, visible from the side along the whole length of the vehicle, and their tread and the shape of the hub are among the things you notice first on a finished model.
These are replacement wheels for a model of this vehicle in 1:72 scale. Replacement wheels are used where the tread pattern and the shape of the hub are to be more pronounced than the parts from the kit allow, or where a modeler wants the wheels matched and free of visible joints. How many pieces the package holds, and whether it includes a spare, is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; work out from that whether the set covers the whole vehicle.
The material of the parts is not stated here, so match the glue to it: anything that is not polystyrene holds with super glue, while polystyrene parts are joined by ordinary modeling cement. Cut away excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand off the rest; on wheels take care that the contact surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. When gluing, fit all the wheels so that the plane of the vehicle is not twisted and every wheel touches the base, or the model will stand on three supports.
The set is for modelers who want a readable tire and hub on wheeled vehicles in a small scale, without extra filling.
The model of the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
