1:72 U.S.A.F. AGM-129 ACM is a model set of the American air-launched low-observable cruise missile in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model set of the American strategic cruise missile AGM-129 ACM (Advanced Cruise Missile) in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but armament and an accessory for display; it suits as accompanying ordnance for models of strategic bombers or as an exhibit in its own right. The missile is marked out by a characteristic angular body with folded wings for reduced radar reflectivity.
The AGM-129 ACM was a subsonic cruise missile with a low flight path, developed for the US Air Force as a hard-to-intercept carrier of a nuclear warhead. It was carried by B-52H strategic bombers. The design with forward-swept wings and a shielded nozzle reduced both the radar and the infrared signature. It served in the inventory from the end of the 1980s until it was withdrawn.
Clean the casting marks off the parts, glue them together and add fine panel lines. The real missile carried mainly a dark gray low-visibility finish; an airbrush and discreet accentuation of the panels are recommended. To set it convincingly into a scene, attach the missile to a pylon or into the bomb bay area of a bomber model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
