A Caracal Models decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the Lockheed C-130J transport aircraft in service with the US Marine Corps. It is not a kit; to use it you need a model of the Hercules.
The J generation moved the proven Hercules a long way on. Under the cowlings work new generation turboprop engines with six-blade composite propellers, which are the most conspicuous recognition feature at first glance. The cockpit received displays and a head-up display, so a pair of pilots is enough on board and the classic flight engineer's station is gone. The US Marine Corps uses these machines to carry people and material and, in the tanker form, also for refueling in flight, which makes them a versatile tool for expeditionary units.
A large transport airframe means long legends along the fuselage and a number of small markings at the doors and the cargo ramp. Work in sections and let the surface dry between the individual features, so that the neighboring markings do not move. On the curved transitions of the wing and the engine nacelles a decal softener applied with a brush from above helps, without pressure that would tear the thin film.
