An injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton V3000S truck in 1:72 scale, in the late production version. IBG Models is known for fine definition; the box is usually supplemented by photo-etched parts, precisely shaped slide mold parts and decals. The model captures the austere late-war appearance of the vehicle with a wooden cab and a wooden bed.
The V3000S was a German three-ton truck built by the Ford-Werke plant and widely used on the Eastern and Western fronts to carry personnel and materiel and as the chassis for special bodies. Because of shortages of raw materials, the late production versions had a wooden driver's cab and a wooden bed instead of all-metal ones, which is the characteristic recognition feature of this variant.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and fit the fine and photo-etched parts with super glue. Finish and paint the chassis and the cab before you fit the bed. A dark yellow shade with patches suits the late-war look; render the wooden surfaces with glazes and adjust the patina of dust and mud with washes and pigments at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
