1:72 V.L. Pyry canopy airbrush mask is a set of masking templates for the cockpit glazing of the Finnish trainer, not a kit. It serves for spraying the frames cleanly on a model in 1:72 scale.

This is an accessory for building a model, not a kit. The set contains masking templates cut to the shape of the cockpit glazing; they are stuck onto the clear part, sprayed over with the color of the frames and removed once dry. On two-seat trainers of the 1930s the canopy tends to be divided into several segments with a great many narrow frames, which makes masking by hand a slow and thankless job. The set is made by MH models as part of its range of aircraft airbrush masks.
The V.L. Pyry is a Finnish two-seat trainer for advanced training, developed at the Finnish state aircraft factory at the end of the 1930s. It is a single-engine low-wing monoplane of mixed construction with a fixed landing gear and with the crew seated in tandem under a glazed canopy. The machine served with the Finnish Air Force for training and for keeping pilots in practice, and in that role it stayed in service unusually long, well into the postwar years. For a modeler it is a type with a distinctive silhouette given by the fixed landing gear and the long cockpit canopy divided into segments.
Wash and degrease the clear part, so that the adhesive layer holds. Lift the templates out of the sheet with a sharp knife and transfer them with tweezers straight onto the areas that are to stay clear. Press the edges down carefully and, on divided canopies, check each segment separately. Cut any short sections the sheet does not cover from the waste material or fill them in with narrow masking tape. Spray the frames first with the shade of the cabin interior and only then with the external finish. Apply the paint in several thin coats. Take the masks off shortly after they have dried, slowly and at a sharp angle, so that the edge of the finish is not pulled away.
The set contains masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
