An injection-molded plastic figure set capturing the German Volkssturm from the fighting for Berlin in 1945, in 1:72 scale. The set combines a commander, fighters and hastily called-up civilians and suits an accessory for dioramas of the end of the Second World War in a small area.
The Volkssturm was a home guard created at the end of 1944, into which men from 16 to 60 years of age were called up. In the fighting for Berlin it used varied equipment and improvised armament, which the variety of the figures in the set reflects.
Glue the small parts with liquid cement for plastic and remove the flash. Given the scale, brush painting with strong shading works well; the variety of civilian and military clothing gives room for a rich palette.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
