Eduard Whitley GR Mk.VII landing flaps 1:72 is a photo-etched set of landing flaps for the model of the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley bomber. It is not a model but a metal accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set of landing flaps from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale replaces the flat plastic flaps of the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley GR Mk.VII model with more faithful metal parts complete with internal structure. It is neither an aircraft kit nor a finished model but a detailing accessory, thanks to which the flaps can be shown lowered and with a realistic internal structure.
The Armstrong Whitworth Whitley was a British twin-engine bomber of the late 1930s. The GR Mk.VII version was intended for maritime patrol and antisubmarine work and carried a radar. The Whitley was marked by the characteristic downward slope of its fuselage in flight and was one of the first British night bombers of the Second World War.
Cut the original plastic flaps away carefully and replace them with the photo-etched parts. Separate the metal with a sharp knife, shape it in a bending tool and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the parts before painting. Lowered flaps markedly enliven the silhouette of a model on the flight line.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
