Wire stretchers and control horns 1:72 - a universal photo-etched set from the manufacturer Eduard for faithful rigging and control horns of biplanes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal photo-etched set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale, which replaces coarsely cast plastic lumps with fine metal wire stretchers and control horns. The stretchers are prepared for a rigging thread to be pulled through, so they make realistic rigging of biplanes easier. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for a faithful build of the rigging.
Wire stretchers (turnbuckles) and control horns are small metal elements that appeared on the aircraft of the period at the points where the bracing wires were attached and on the control surfaces. In plastic a kit usually only suggests them with thick molded raised detail, which this set replaces with precise photo-etched parts usable across various models.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a surface and glue them with super glue. Place the stretchers at the anchoring points of the wires and pull the rigging thread through them, which makes up the rigging itself. Once glued on, bring the parts into line with the coat of the model.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. The rigging thread and the base kit are not included in the package.
