An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet off-road truck ZIL-157 in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is an unassembled and unpainted model of a classic military tractor with all-wheel drive. The package holds plastic sprues, clear parts and a decal; the exact make-up of the parts is stated on the box.
The ZIL-157 was a Soviet truck with 6x6 drive that was produced from the end of the nineteen fifties and became one of the most widespread vehicles of the Eastern Bloc. It stood out for its off-road mobility, its central tire inflation system and its reliability in demanding conditions. It served as a transport vehicle, a tractor and a carrier of the most varied bodies and missile systems, and it was exported to dozens of countries.
Assemble the frame, the axles and the running gear first and only then the cab and the cargo bed. The large off-road tires come into their own with a matte shade and a fine dust pigment. A uniform protective green finish is typical; a wash into the joints of the bed and the grilles will add depth and a matte varnish will even the surface out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
