Responsibility details are not available.
A resin collector's figure of a German knight dated to the year 1425, 54 mm tall, from the Czech maker Black Dog. The figure is meant to be assembled and painted as a stand-alone collector's piece or as part of a historical display case. The castings are supplied unpainted.
The early 15th century was the high point of Gothic plate armor – a knight of that time wore full plate with its characteristic shaping, a helmet with a visor, and carried a sword or a polearm. The figure captures a typical man-at-arms of Central Europe and is a rewarding subject for the techniques of painting metal and period textiles.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the joints with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bring out the plate armor with non-metallic metal (NMM) or with metallic paints worked up with reflections; pick out the textiles, the leather and the heraldry with shades and highlights, and a final toning with oils will add depth.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
