About product

Turned metal gun barrel 75 mm M1897A4 in 1:35 scale, RB model

A precise turned metal gun barrel from the Polish manufacturer RB model that replaces the plastic barrel of the American 75 mm M1897A4 gun on the M3 GMC self-propelled gun (a half-track carrier) in 1:35 scale. The M1897A4 gun derives from the legendary French 75 of 1897. It is not a model but a detail replacement part. The metal barrel is perfectly straight and concentric, with a faithful muzzle and a clean bore.

What the replacement improves

The parting seam left by gluing the halves together disappears, and so does the rounded plastic muzzle. The metal barrel looks realistic, is more resistant to bending, and the fine detail lifts the impression of the finished vehicle.

Fitting

Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part as needed and glue the metal barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Even a moderately experienced modeler can manage the job.

Who the barrel is for

  • Modelers building the M3 GMC self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale
  • Anyone interested in American equipment of the Second World War
  • Builders who want metal detail instead of plastic
  • Collectors of Allied armored vehicles

This is an add-on detail part, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
