An injection-molded plastic figure in the large 1:16 scale depicting a Yeoman Warder, the ceremonial guard of the Tower of London popularly known as a Beefeater. The large format leaves room for a faithful rendering of the Tudor uniform and of the face. The package contains the plastic parts of the figure and the instructions; the manufacturer is ICM.
Yeoman Warders have guarded the Tower of London since the 15th century and are among the best-known symbols of England. Their traditional dark blue and red uniform with its rich trim, and the hat, come from the Tudor era. The figure is a popular subject for collectors' figures thanks to its striking historical silhouette.
Join the parts with thin cement for plastic and clean up the joints. The large 1:16 scale shows to advantage on the face and the hands, so we recommend a primer and shading with oils or acrylics. The trim and buttons of the uniform come out well with a dry brush and fine highlighting.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
