Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British fighter Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIC from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is the standard (non-tropical) Mk.IIC version armed with four 20 mm cannon in the wings. Watch out for confusion with the sister kit Hurricane Mk.IIC Trop (the tropical version with a dust filter under the nose) - this model does not have the dust filter. The large scale of 1:24 means a wingspan of over half a meter, rich detail, large surfaces and a roomy cockpit; the kit is usually complemented by photo-etched parts.
The Hawker Hurricane was, together with the Spitfire, the main British fighter of the Battle of Britain and it bore the greatest share of the kills in it. The Mk.IIC version was given a more powerful engine and above all heavy armament - four 20 mm Hispano cannon - thanks to which it proved its worth not only as a fighter but also in the role of attacking ground targets and as a night fighter. Its robust structure with a fabric-covered rear fuselage was easy to repair in field conditions.
Finish and paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up - in the large 1:24 scale it is markedly visible. Use masking templates on the glazing of the canopy for crisp frames. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, apply a primer and spray with an airbrush; the large surfaces of the wings and the fuselage will appreciate light shading of the panels and highlighting of the texture. The British schemes of the Battle of Britain combine brown and green upper camouflage with a light underside - this is where an airbrush comes into its own.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
