An injection-molded plastic kit of the AV-8B Harrier II in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter, with photo-etched parts and rubber tires.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American vertical take-off attack aircraft AV-8B Harrier II in the large 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. It is a big model with a finely engraved surface, complemented by clear plastic for the canopy glazing, a small photo-etched fret and rubber tires. The large scale brings out the shape of the fuselage, the swiveling nozzles and the rich underwing armament. Note: this box is the basic version without the nose radar, unlike the later Harrier II Plus variant.
The AV-8B Harrier II is an American single-seat subsonic attack aircraft of the US Marine Corps with vertical and short take-off and landing capability (V/STOL). It grew out of the British Harrier and is distinguished by the vectored thrust of its engine with swiveling nozzles, thanks to which it can operate from small aircraft carriers and amphibious ships without a conventional runway. It was used for close air support of ground units and for light strike tasks.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies; bond the small photo-etched and clear parts with super glue. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paints on with an airbrush; on gray naval schemes a discreet accent on the panel lines pays off. Paint the swiveling nozzles and the pylons and fit them at the very end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
