An injection-molded plastic kit of the MiG-19S Farmer C in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter: the Soviet single-seat supersonic fighter of the 1950s with two engines.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19S supersonic fighter (NATO reporting name Farmer C) in the large 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The large scale allows a detailed cockpit, well-worked air intakes and thoroughly rendered weapons and stores. It is a conventional injection-molded kit for building with ordinary modeling skills: cutting the parts from the sprues, cleaning them up, gluing and painting. Check the exact part count and the marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet series-built fighter able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The MiG-19S version had two afterburning turbojet engines, an all-moving tailplane and gun armament made up of cannon. It went into service from the second half of the 1950s and became the basis of a whole range of further variants and of license-built copies made abroad. It served with the air forces of the Warsaw Pact countries and beyond.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic. Paint and pick out the cockpit interior and the instrument panel before the fuselage is closed up, and mask the clear glazing while spraying. Given the large scale, give care to the air intakes, the engine nozzles and the stores. Lay down a primer, apply the paint with an airbrush, put the decals on over a gloss coat and pick out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
