This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Hobby Boss represents the German self-propelled anti-tank gun built on the chassis of the captured French Renault R35 tank, in 1:35 scale. The model offers a well-broken-up exterior, an open fighting superstructure with the anti-tank gun, a full interior with the engine and fighting compartments, photo-etched parts and link-and-length tracks.
After the occupation of France the Wehrmacht made use of a large number of captured Renault R35 tanks (Pz.Kpfw. 35R 731(f) in German designation). Some of them were rebuilt into self-propelled anti-tank guns: an open armored superstructure with an anti-tank gun of Czech origin (Pak(t)) was mounted on the chassis. The vehicles served for anti-tank defense in the occupied territories and at the front.
First assemble and paint the interior and the engine compartment, and only then close the superstructure up. Glue the link-and-length tracks in sections. German camouflage schemes airbrush well over a colored primer on the plastic; finish off with a wash and dust effects using pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
