An injection-molded plastic kit of the American AAVP-7A1 amphibious assault carrier in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. This version is fitted with mounting bosses for attaching additional equipment. The model offers well-worked construction inside and out, individual track links and a number of fine parts.
The AAVP-7A1 is a tracked amphibious vehicle of the United States Marine Corps, serving to carry a landing force from ships to the shore and onward over land. It grew out of the LVTP-7 family of vehicles and forms the backbone of American Marine amphibious landing operations. In the water it moves by means of waterjets, on land on a tracked chassis.
Assemble the running gear and the interior of the hull before you close it up. Glue the individual track links with thin plastic cement. Spray the body with an airbrush over a primer; the characteristic green finish comes into its own after washes and mud and dust pigments that emphasize amphibious service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
