An injection-molded plastic kit of the American amphibious recovery and repair version AAVR-7A1 in its upgraded RAM/RS form in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. Unlike the assault carrier, this vehicle is fitted with a crane and repair facilities. The model offers a detailed interior of the maintenance compartment, individual track links and nylon cord for the cables.
The AAVR-7A1 is the amphibious recovery and repair variant of the AAV7 family of the United States Marine Corps. It serves to recover and maintain damaged amphibious vehicles in the field. It is fitted with a slewing crane, a winch and equipment for field repairs. The RAM/RS program upgraded the power train and the suspension to a common standard.
Assemble the interior of the maintenance compartment and the running gear before closing the hull. The crane and cables from the cord supplied add to the credibility. Bond the individual track links with thin cement for plastic. Round out airbrushed paint over primer with washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
