Injection-molded plastic kit of the Australian ASLAV-25 wheeled armored vehicle in the reconnaissance version, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model depicts the eight-wheeled subject with a turret carrying an automatic cannon. The box holds parts in gray plastic, photo-etched metal details and rubber tires.
The ASLAV is an Australian family of eight-wheeled armored vehicles derived from the MOWAG Piranha design, or more precisely from the LAV series. The ASLAV-25 reconnaissance version carries a 25 mm automatic cannon and 7.62 mm machine guns in its turret. The vehicles stand out for their good mobility and amphibious capability, and Australia has deployed them on a number of overseas missions.
Take care to assemble the axles and the wheel suspension correctly. Fit the tires only after the hull has been sprayed. Lay the base coat down with an airbrush over a primer, and build the weathering with washes and pigments for dust effects. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
