This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the Soviet BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle in its early version. The extensive box holds a large number of gray plastic sprues, clear parts, the upper and lower hull, the turret and tracks supplied as both rubber and plastic parts. Decals and an assembly manual are enclosed.
The BMP-3 is a Soviet infantry fighting vehicle whose production started at the end of the 1980s, following on from the BMP-1 and BMP-2. The power pack sits at the right rear, and the compartment for seven soldiers is in the rear part with hatches in the roof. Doors in the rear of the hull let the crew get in and out.
Given the high parts count, follow the instructions and work in subassemblies; finish the running gear first. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush. The enclosed schemes offer both single-color and camouflaged finishes; washes and pigments for dust and mud effects will add the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
