This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter depicts the Russian BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle in the variant for the United Arab Emirates, in 1:35 scale. The model includes explosive reactive armor (ERA) and additional screens, individual track links and photo-etched parts including the grilles over the engine. Clear parts are included as well.
The BMP-3 is an amphibious infantry fighting vehicle with heavy armament in the shape of 100 mm and 30 mm weapons in the turret. The United Arab Emirates are among its major export users. The vehicle was also delivered with reactive armor, which improves its resistance to shaped-charge rounds.
Assemble the individual track links carefully so that they sit properly on the road wheels. Fit the reactive armor and the screens only after the base coat. Desert camouflage airbrushes well over a colored primer on the plastic; finish off with a wash and dust effects from pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
