1:35 Heavy vehicles battery

Royal Model 1:35 batteries for heavy equipment (resin)

This is a small resin detail set from the Italian manufacturer Royal Model. It holds faithfully cast models of the storage batteries used on heavy military equipment. It is NOT a model of a vehicle but an accessory intended for the superdetailing of engine compartments, hulls or diorama scenes in 1:35 scale.

What the set is for

The castings replace simplified or missing parts in a kit and give a scene convincing technical detail. They come into their own in an open engine compartment, on a cargo bed or as material lying around in a workshop or field diorama. The fine castings allow realistic painting including wear and dirt.

Building and painting tips

First wash the mold release residue off the parts, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer filler before painting; an airbrush and then washes and pigments to bring out the detail and the patina work well. Protect your airways when sanding resin.

Who the set is for

• modelers who want to raise the realism of a vehicle above the box level
• makers of dioramas and vignettes with equipment
• more experienced builders used to working with resin

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
