An injection-molded plastic kit of the American amphibious tracked vehicle LVTP-7 in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The set offers full exterior detail as well as an elaborate interior of the hull, the small turret and the troop compartment, individual track links and photo-etched parts; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The LVTP-7 (Landing Vehicle Tracked, Personnel) is an amphibious tracked carrier of the US Marine Corps designed to land troops from the deck of a ship directly onto the shore. The vehicle swims by means of water jets and moves on land on a tracked running gear. It was later redesignated AAV-7A1 and in various upgrades it serves with amphibious assault battalions to this day.
Expect a fairly large build, including the assembly of the individual track links and the fitting of the interior before the hull is closed up. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with super glue. After the base coat choose a Marine Corps scheme; bring out the recesses with a wash, draw out the edges with a dry brush and add dust pigments to the underside and the tracks, and if you like a hint of sea salt and algae.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
