This injection-molded plastic kit captures the American M1 Panther II mine clearing vehicle, which was created by converting an M1 Abrams tank. The set contains plastic parts, vinyl tracks, metal wire, a chain and optional parts for building either the mine roller or the mine plow.
The M1 Panther II is a remotely controlled engineer vehicle for mine clearing, built on the chassis of the M1 Abrams tank with the turret removed. Either a set of mine rollers or a mine plow is fitted to the front, which makes it possible to open a safe lane through a minefield. The vehicle was deployed by American engineer units.
Finish the running gear before you close up the hull. The vinyl tracks can be glued with a suitable adhesive or joined with heat. Use thin cement for plastic and assemble the fine parts of the mine roller with a delicate touch. For a faithful look, a basic military shade, washes and dust pigments that emphasize the dusty finish work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
