A resin (3D-printed) accessory set in 1:35 scale from Reskit. This is not a standalone model, but a pair of rear storage baskets mounted on the hull of the Israeli Merkava Mk.3 tank. The thin-walled printed parts replace the coarser plastic baskets from the Meng kit and differ from the turret basket.

What the set is for

The rear baskets on the Merkava's hull are used by the crew to carry gear, spare parts and personal items the tank takes into the field. The fine resin construction looks more convincing and leaves room for loaded cargo, tarps or camouflage netting in a diorama. The chains and thin walls give the tank's rear a distinctive look.

Building tips

Wash the printed parts to remove residual print resin, cut away the print supports and sand the fine edges while protecting your airways. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Fill the baskets with small loads, highlight them with a wash and dry-brushing, and add dust and mud pigments for a realistic weathered look.
