This is NOT a tank kit but an aftermarket detail set for modelers. The set contains 12 pairs of steel-rimmed road wheels, 2 drive sprockets and 2 idler wheels for a model of the Israeli Merkava Mk.3 tank in 1:35 scale. The parts are produced by 3D printing in resin, with fine rendering that surpasses the series plastic parts from the kit.
The Merkava Mk.3 is an Israeli main battle tank introduced at the end of the 1980s. Characteristic features are the front engine placement that shields the crew, the rear entry into the hull and a 120 mm gun. The running gear uses sprung road wheels; the version with a steel rim differs from the rubber-tired one in shape as well as in the character of the wear.
First wash the resin parts free of print resin residue, carefully cut off the print supports and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); wear respiratory protection while sanding. Spray the wheels with a base color, add a desert sand shade and bring out dust, mud and abrasion with pigments and washes.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
