Panther Ausf. A – interior 1:35, the second part. It follows on from the first part of the series from the Italian brand Royal Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of the Royal Model interior series for the Panther Ausf. A tank follows on from the first part and adds further areas of the interior equipment to it. The two items are commonly used together.
The crew of five was divided between the hull and the turret: the driver and the radio operator at the front, the commander, the gunner and the loader in the turret. The turret carried a 75 mm gun with a barrel seventy calibers long, whose breech took up a considerable part of the space and divided the turret practically into two halves. Rounds were stowed along the walls of the hull and in the floor, and the loader passed them across the rotating floor. At the back, behind an armored bulkhead, worked a liquid-cooled twelve-cylinder whose heat could be felt in the fighting compartment even in winter; the crews, for that matter, did not complain about that.
Divide the work into subassemblies and finish each one, including the finish, before you put it in place. Check that the breech of the gun does not rest against the interior equipment of the turret at maximum elevation. The details come out well under gentle lighting from above, so leave the hatch open and bring out the upper edges with a dry brush in a lighter shade.
Neither the tank nor the first part of the series is supplied in this package.
