Canadian trucks of the uniform military range formed the backbone of British and Allied supply during the Second World War. The version with drive to all four wheels and with a closed box body, known by the nickname Quad, towed anti-tank and field guns and carried the crew and the ammunition. Two car makers, among them Ford, built the vehicles on a common basis, and they differed mainly in the front end and the cab.
Replacement wheels for a model in 1:35 scale in the 10.5 x 20 size with the Dunlop off-road pattern, that is with a coarse tread for driving off the road. The wheels are finished replacement parts meant to be swapped for those from the kit, so they are fitted in place of the original wheels and suit anywhere a modeler wants a more distinct tread shape on a vehicle. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down so that the seating surface is flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Use super glue for gluing. The tread pattern stands out if you go over the areas with a dark wash after the base color and bring the edges of the pattern out slightly with a dry brush. Apply dust and mud from the bottom upwards, and when fitting them take care that all the wheels sit down on the base at the same time.
The set is for modelers who find that the shape of the tires on a kit does not suit them or who want to see a distinct off-road tread on a vehicle. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
