The BMP-2 is a Soviet amphibious infantry fighting vehicle introduced at the beginning of the 1980s as an improvement on the older BMP-1. The main change against the BMP-1 was a new two-man turret with a rapid-fire gun of 30 mm caliber, which thanks to its wide range of elevation can be used against low-flying targets as well, complemented by a launcher for anti-tank guided missiles on the turret roof. The vehicle carries a dismounted infantry section, which can fire from the fighting compartment, it is amphibious, and it became one of the most widespread infantry fighting vehicles in the world. It has been used in many conflicts from the 1980s to this day.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks first and only then close and paint the hull. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue and pick out the equipment and tools on the hull separately while painting. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush and pick the panel lines out with a wash. Complete the typical wear of a vehicle in service with mud, dust and pigments, above all on the underside of the hull and on the running gear.
