This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter in 1:35 scale represents the Soviet and Russian KamAZ-4310 truck with 6x6 drive. The model is supplied as an unassembled set of plastic parts, and photo-etched parts, clear parts for the glazing and a decal sheet are included. The KamAZ-4310 is an all-wheel-drive off-road truck introduced around 1980. It became one of the main general-purpose and cargo vehicles of the Soviet and later the Russian army, where it replaced older types and still serves in many modifications today. Its characteristic features are the cab over the engine and a robust chassis for heavy terrain.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the engine and the drivetrain first, and only then close up the cab and the bed. Use thin cement for plastic, and glue the clear parts with a glue that does not fog the glass. For a realistic look, a primer, flat paints and weathering with dust and mud on the wheels and the chassis all help.
