This kit from Trumpeter brings the Soviet KV-3 heavy tank in 1:35 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model to be assembled and painted, complemented by photo-etched metal and link-and-length tracks.
The KV-3 was a projected Soviet heavy tank of the beginning of the Second World War, intended as a more capable successor to the KV-1 with thicker armor and heavier armament. It remained at the prototype stage and never reached series production, which places it among the interesting so-called paper projects with surviving documentation.
Assemble the running gear and the link-and-length tracks first and only then the hull and the turret. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue. Apply a primer before painting, lay the base shade on with an airbrush and bring out the busy surface with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. Fix the decals onto gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
