An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-62 medium tank in the Mod. 1972 variant in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model corresponds to the upgraded version with an anti-aircraft machine gun added on the turret. The box contains parts in gray plastic, photo-etched metal accessories and connectable track links.
The T-62 was a Soviet medium tank taken into service at the beginning of the 1960s as the successor to the T-55. It was the first production tank to be given a 115 mm smoothbore gun. The Mod. 1972 version added a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun on the commander's cupola. The T-62 spread to a number of armies and took part in many conflicts of the second half of the 20th century.
Assemble and secure the running gear before the hull is closed up. Apply the base coat with an airbrush over a primer, and for the weathering use washes into the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
