Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun SU-152 in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model is finely shaped, with a richly detailed hull; depending on the contents of the box, a metal gun barrel and photo-etched parts for fine detail are usually included. It is an unassembled and unpainted kit meant to be glued together.
The SU-152 was a Soviet heavy self-propelled gun used from 1943. It mounted a powerful 152 mm gun-howitzer on the chassis of the KV-1S heavy tank. Thanks to its ability to knock out even the heaviest German vehicles — the Tiger and Panther tanks and the Ferdinand tank destroyer — it earned the nickname Zveroboy (beast slayer). The later version on the IS tank chassis was redesignated ISU-152.
First finish and fit the running gear and any interior of the fighting compartment before you close the hull — you will not reach them later. An airbrush and thinned paints suit the basic green finish; for a faithful patina use dark washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear. Before gluing, clean the parts of flash and sprue stubs and dry-fit the individual assemblies first; bond with liquid cement for plastic, which joins the seam firmly and cleanly. For better paint adhesion apply a primer first and paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush. Before weathering, even the surface out with a clear coat and let every layer dry thoroughly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
