An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-64 main battle tank in the 1972 version. The set offers a larger number of parts, plastic individual track links, photo-etched parts and a metal gun barrel; the model is built from individual parts and is meant to be glued and painted.
The T-64 was a groundbreaking Soviet tank that was one of the first to introduce an autoloader for its 125 mm gun, which made it possible to reduce both the number of crew members and the overall weight. The 1972 version carries an anti-aircraft machine gun on the turret and is marked by its characteristic running gear with small road wheels. The T-64 served exclusively with the Soviet army and was never exported.
Prepare and paint the running gear and the tracks before the hull is closed up. Deburr the metal gun barrel and fit it. For the Soviet green, an airbrush over a primer works well, and subsequent washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the underside and the tracks will give realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
