An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-40 amphibious light tank in 1:35 scale. The box contains a multi-part hull and turret, well worked-out running gear, a clear part and a decal sheet. The exact number of parts and of color schemes is stated on the packaging.
The T-40 was a Soviet amphibious light tank of the early 1940s, following on from the older T-37A and T-38. It brought a more modern suspension with torsion bars and it was armed with a heavy machine gun. Thanks to its buoyant hull it could cross water obstacles and it was used for reconnaissance and escort. It was deployed in the first years of the Great Patriotic War.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, unify the surface with primer and lay the base color with an airbrush. For a realistic look add washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the fenders and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
