Taxi de la Marne (1914), French Car is a plastic kit of a historic French automobile in 1:35 scale from ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale showing a French automobile of 1914, known as the taxi de la Marne. The kit captures a period passenger vehicle from the beginning of the First World War.
The subject is a French taxicab from the opening period of the First World War. The Paris taxicabs that became known as the taxi de la Marne were used en masse in September 1914 to move troops quickly to the front during the fighting on the river Marne. The vehicle thus became a symbol of its time and is a rewarding subject for historical modeling and for dioramas.
Separate the parts from the sprues carefully and clean up the seam lines. Thin plastic cement is recommended, along with a primer and airbrush work before painting. The body detail, the lamps and the interior stand out once they are picked out with a wash; light weathering supports the period look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
