A plastic kit of the TB.2 unmanned reconnaissance and strike aircraft in Ukrainian Navy markings. The box belongs to the starter line of Clear Prop Models, which is simpler to build and within reach of a modeler without long practice. At the same time the large 1:35 scale turns an otherwise unassuming machine into a striking display piece.
The TB.2 is a Turkish medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicle that combines long endurance with the ability to carry light guided munitions. It is powered by a piston engine with a pusher propeller, the tail surfaces are carried on a pair of booms, and the whole system is flown from a ground station. Ukrainian naval aviation was among the first operators of the type outside Turkey, taking its first aircraft at the end of the 2010s, and their use later became one of the most closely watched subjects in current aviation.
The slender wing and the tail booms deserve the most attention: glue them on a flat surface and check the symmetry while the cement is still soft. Spray the light base coat in thin layers from an airbrush so the surface detail does not disappear. The panel lines only need picking out with a thin wash, and weathering should be kept on a short leash. Composite surfaces look convincing in a semi-gloss finish, so unify the whole model with varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
