An injection-molded plastic kit of the American GMC CCKW-352 truck (6x6, short wheelbase) in the version with a machine gun turret (a ring mount above the cab) from I Love Kit in 1:35 scale. The set contains photo-etched parts and, as a bonus, the 105 mm M2A1 howitzer as well.
The GMC CCKW, nicknamed the Deuce and a Half or Jimmy, was a 2.5-ton 6x6 truck, one of the pillars of American logistics in the Second World War and in Korea. The short wheelbase version (352) was used among other things to tow guns. The machine gun ring mount above the cab served for defense against aircraft as well as ground targets. The 105 mm M2A1 howitzer was the standard American field gun.
Finish the chassis, the engine and the running gear before painting. Paint the cab and the cargo bed separately for the sake of access. Even out the olive green base with a filter, bring out the details with a wash, wipe the edges and dust the underside and the wheels with pigments. The howitzer can be displayed on its own or hitched behind the vehicle as a small diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
